Evolution Pets - Overview

These unique creatures come from their various Guardian parents. You will need to kill the parents (Evolution Guardians), and with any luck, receive an egg as part of their loot. You must hatch the egg to receive your "baby".  The eggs take several minutes for them to be ready to be hatched. You hatch them by double clicking them. Once hatched the baby will instantly bond with the owner.

Drop rates vary, the lowest being around 1%.

There are several types of known Evo Guardians: Lion, Hiryu, Rat, Dragon, Wisp, Demon, Mare and Kirin.

Experience Points or [ep

Use the command [ep and target your pet to see their experience point level. Below you will see the required experience points for each level. Note the dragon requires a lot more to reach his final stage.

EVO Dragon and Daemon: 2nd stage (25,000), 3rd stage (75,000), 4th stage (175,000), 5th stage (3,750,000), 6th stage (7,750,000), and 7th stage (15 million).

Mercenary:  2nd stage (250,000) The Shadow Knight, 3rd stage (1,250,000) The Golden Knight, 4th stage (3,750,000) The Blood Knight, 5th stage (7,750,000) Knight of Destiny, 6th stage (15,000,000) Servant, and 7th stage (150,000,000) The Ancient Mercenary.

ALL other EVOs : 2nd stage (25 000), 3rd stage (75 000), 4th stage (1,250,000), 5th stage (7,750, 000). The 5th stage is the last stage for all other EVOs except for the dragon.

More on Mercenaries

Commands:

"Merc Name Stats"  Will pull up a menu that is much like the animal lore menu.

"Merc Name Help"  Will give you a list of his/her commands that you can use.

You do not need to give your mercenary a chivalry book. The mercenaries will automatically use consecrate, provided you have had them tithe.  To tithe you go to an ankh and say the merc's name and tithe.  It will pull gold from your pack.

Watch out as you train your Mercenaries, as when you reach maximum stage, they will require 7 Control Slots. While creating an account on UO White Wolf, you will receive a +1  Pet Slot Deed, which will increase the maximum number of pets you can control from 5 to 6. As you are allowed 2 accounts on UO White Wolf and each of your account receives a Welcome Pack, every one can start with one character that can have 7 maximum followers (pet slots). The maximum number of followers you can control on UO White Wolf is 10.
Just as other « pets », Mercenaries need to eat. Don’t forget to feed them and keep their loyalty high or you may eventually loose their control.

Training your EVO Pets

You will want to train your EVO Pet on a Training Elemental in the Training area until it reaches it's last stage. If your pet gains regular levels, do not spend their points until they have reached their maximum stage. Doing so is pretty much useless as with each stage, the pet's stats, resists, damage all change with each stage.

Make sure to train Animal Taming and Animal Lore to 120 before you reach maximum stage, as both are required to control your EVO Pets.

Locations

This is the big question, and as to keep some mystery I am only going to share each pet's general location. The Guardians are very strong and should not be attempted by new players, which is the other reason I will not share their exact locations.

Dragon - Inside an Ilshenar Dungeon

Demon - Fire Island

Hiryu - Tokuno Islands

Kirin - Outside Luna

Lion - Tokuno Islands

Mare - Inside an Ilshenar Dungeon

Rat - Outside an Ilshenar Dungeon

Wisp - Inside an Ilshenar Dungeon

Leveling your EVO pets

In addition to staging up your EVO pets, you will also be able to level them. Their levels range anywhere from 10-30, just like other tameable pets. You can also breed EVO Pets.

Is it possible to block the staging of the Evo-Pets if the new number of necessary control slots exceeds the maximum number of slots a player has? The Evo-Pet is useless until the player used a pet-slot-scroll.

Evika, thank you for your very idea and sorry for any confusion. Indeed, Mercenaries when fully trained require 7 control slots. As I designed it in 2013, there is actually no need for preventing people to train their EVO Pets/Mercs/or other types of custom mobs ... No pets will require more than 7 control slots, even Vampiriac Steeds or Mondain's Mounts.

Right now, I guess your issue comes from your EVO Mercenary. Am I not right ? You probably need 7 control slots, while you have 6.
My suggestion for you is to create a second account, grab the welcome pack and use items you can transfer to your main character (e.g. a second +1 pet slot deed).
If by any chances, you have already used your second +1 pet slot deed on another character, or you didn't receive 2 Welcome Packs, you can page in game about your issue and I'll come to help.

Everyone's allowed 2 accounts on UO White Wolf. Therefore everyone starts with potentially 7/10 max followers. I've adapted the guide hereabove so the details about EVO Mercenaries are known in advance.
Again, thanks for pointing this out. This can be very frustrating to train your pet and not be able to use it. I bet !! So, I originally designed the first landing/training moments on UO White Wolf to avoid such situations. Let me know if I can help in game !

I have 7 slots but I thought that the Merc will need more then 7 slots for stage 7. By the way, wat is the maximum of slots one cane have?

10 maximum control slots.
